Journalists decry leak investigation into Ian Davidson case

The announcement sent a chill through the province’s newsrooms, raising questions about whether journalists can freely do their work and whether the public can trust them. News that Public Security Minister Robert Dutil has mandated the Sureté du Québec to investigate leaks to the media in the Ian Davidson case had Quebec news bosses unanimously on a war footing Friday.
