Herzog & de Meuron to design Serpentine Gallery

Pritzker Prize-winning Swiss firm Herzog & de Meuron will collaborate with Chinese artists and dissident Ai Weiwei to design the 2012 Serpentine Gallery Pavilion. Each year the art gallery, located in London’s Hyde Park, commissions a prominent architect or firm to design a pavilion on the gallery’s lawn to host film screenings and other cultural events.
